Cemetery Rules, Mission Cemetery, Finding someone in our cemeteries
Pyes Pa Memorial Park is located at 403 Pyes Pa Road, Tauranga. The Memorial Park is operated by Tauranga City Council. It was established in 1967 and has a park-like setting offering a range of memorial garden options.
Pyes Pa Memorial Park represents different things to different people, for some it is a place to walk among memorials that chronicle Tauranga's recent history and to relax in a safe and peaceful environment. For others, it is a place to remember loved ones and to honour those who served our country.
Staff at Pyes Pa Memorial Park share a wealth of experience and can help with information on all aspects of burial and cremation services, and memorial options available.
Council also maintains a number of older cemeteries located in Tauranga. These cemeteries are now only used for reserve plot burials and ash interments.

Rotorua District Council and Tauranga City Council have collaborated to make it possible for you to search for Tauranga's Cemetery Information online.
Our online access to our cemeteries database allows searches of cemetery records to find information about family and friends.
The database contains records from all six cemeteries operated by Tauranga City Council including:
- The Pyes Pa Memorial Park on Pyes Pa Road
- The Presbyterian Cemetery on 18th Avenue
- The Methodist Cemetery on Devonport Road
- The Catholic Cemetery on corner of Fraser Street and 18th Avenue
- The Anglican Cemetery on the corner of Grace Road and 17th Avenue
- The Latter Day Saints Cemetery on the corner of Fraser Street and 17th Avenue
This database does not include information for the Mission Cemetery and Maori Burial Grounds.
You can enter the details you already know and can find more specific information we may have on the cemeteries database such as the full name of the deceased, age, date, type of burial, location of burial, attending funeral director and in some cases a map and photograph of the headstone/memorial.
