The Local Government Act 2002 requires Council’s in New Zealand to provide plans on what they intend to achieve and reports on how they did. These are the lead documents councils use to set their direction.

In this section you will find pages containing Tauranga City Council’s three lead documents:

  • The Long Term Plan (LTP or otherwise known as the ten year plan) looks up to ten years ahead and has detail for the first three years.  It is Council’s ‘to do’ list, along with other relevant information.

  • Each year Tauranga City Council goes through an Annual Plan process to set the budgets for the coming year, fitting within the guidelines of the current LTCCP.

  • At the end of each financial year we report on how we’ve performed through an Annual Report. There is always a Summary Report which summarises the audited highlights from each Annual Report.

Please use the tabs above to browse through these plans and reports.

For more information please phone Tauranga City Council on 07 577 7000.
