Tauranga City Council is responsible for approximately 530km of roads, 700 km of footpaths, cycle ways and access ways and more than a million square metres of berms around the city.
We also manage and maintain 11,500 street lights 13,000 road signs and 17 bridges.

Road Works
The work of maintaining the roads in and around our city is constant.
Road works can involve anything from minor work to fix a pot hole which takes only a few minutes to a major project to rebuild a section of road that has completely worn out.
