Off-street car parks
There are off-street parking areas in Tauranga city centre and at the Phoenix car park in Mount Maunganui. Charges apply Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. Parking in off-street car parks is free on weekends and public holidays.
Monthly concessions are available for some of the off-street car parks via the PayMyPark app or from the Council customer service centre at 91 Willow Street. Monthly coupons do not guarantee a space and are not valid for street parking. With a PayMyPark account you can switch between vehicles.
Parking buildings are at Elizabeth Street and Spring Street. Both parking buildings are automated and open 24/7. Take your entry ticket with you and remember to pay (cash, debit or credit card) at the automatic pay station before returning to your car. You can also pay by debit or credit card (not cash) at the exit barrier. Charges apply Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm and parking is free on weekends and public holidays.
- Entry to the Elizabeth Street Parking Building is via Elizabeth Street or 1st Avenue.
- Entry to the Spring Street Parking Building is via Durham Street.
