In 2013, Tauranga City Council adopted the Age Friendly City Strategy 2013-2023. The vision of the strategy is that Tauranga is an Age-Friendly City that enables people to live independently and participate in all aspects of community and city life as they age.
A Positive Ageing Advisory Forum (PAAF) is in the process of being established. This forum will be responsible for delivering on the Age-Friendly City Strategy as Tauranga City Council works toward supporting Tauranga’s growing older population.
All queries regarding age related issues or the Positive Ageing Advisory Forum should be directed to Dani Jurgeleit on 07 577 7000.
