Political parties and candidates wishing to place election signs within Tauranga's boundaries are required to follow certain rules.
The 2020 general election will be held on Saturday, 19 September.
Election signs beside state highways
All signs placed beside state highways must follow rules set by the New Zealand Transport Authority (NZTA).

Election signs in other Tauranga locations
- General election signs can only be displayed from nine weeks before polling day to the close of the day before polling day.
- Signs should be a suitable size for their location and should not distract or obstruct the view of road users.
- If erecting a sign outside the pre-approved locations, permission must be obtained from us. Phone our bylaws officer on 07 577 7000.
