Get your rates rebate sorted closer to home this August.
If you are on a low income you can apply for a rates rebate of up to $620 from the government. Phone us on 075777000 to find out if you qualify, especially if your household income is around $30,000 per year or less.
If you received a rebate last year for your property, you’ll find a new application form enclosed with your rates bill, which you will receive early August.
Otherwise you can pick one up from the Customer Service Centre at 91 Willow Street or your local library, or download one right here:
Rates rebates for low income
Once done you can bring it in to us for processing:
- at the Customer Service Centre any day of the working week or
- at your local library between Tuesday 1 August and Friday 8 September, Monday to Friday, at the times below.
Mount Libray: 9.30am to 12pm
Papamoa Library: 1.30pm to 5pm
Greerton Library: 9.30am to 5pm
Note that the parking behind the Customer Service Centre is partially closed throughout August during the demolition of the Council administration building – another reason to make it easy and head to your library.

You will also be able to pay your rates invoice there (EFTPOS, credit card and cheques only) at the same time. Remember rates are due by Thursday 31 August.
