With the extremely high tide we are seeing low lying roads inundated. For the next couple of hours please avoid low lying areas anywhere in the city

  • Takitimu Drive coastal walkway/cycle ways
  • Turrett Road
  • SH2 near Waimarino Park
  • Te Puna Station Rd
  • Memorial Park
  • Commons and Grace Avenues at Mt Maunganui
  • Maunganui Rd between Commons and Grace
  • Welcome Bay Road
  • Birch Street/Amber Crescent

People should stay off the roads unless they absolutely need to travel.
