Wastewater Overflow Notification - 60 Maleme Street

Event date: 16/08/2023 8:00 a.m. Export event

Overflow Notification

This is to notify you that a wastewater overflow has occurred at 60 Maleme Street, Greerton, on 16 August 2023.

The overflow was a result of a blockage of fats.  This will have potentially discharged to a tributary of the Waimapu Stream.

Current Actions

TCC contractors have removed the blockage and the immediate area around the overflow site has been cleaned and disinfected. Warning Signage has been placed in the area.

Water quality sampling will be undertaken as soon as possible, weather permitting.
