Water shutdown affecting Windermere, 4th May

A water shutdown will affect three streets in Winderemere in the early hours of tomorrow morning, 4th of May.

The affected streets are: Windermere Drive, College Place and Lagoon Place.
The water shutdown will last for around 30 minutes some time between 1.30am and 3.00am 4th May.

The shutdown is to allow a temporary meter to be installed for water volume testing.

A bulk supply meter which used is only for operational monitoring (not for billing purposes) is being tested to ensure that reported supply volumes are accurate.

To achieve this a second temporary meter will be installed on a downstream hydrant. The volume passing though both meters will be compared to see if there is a discrepancy between the readings.

The temporary meter will be removed at the end of the test.
