Tauranga has a sprinkler and irrigation system ban in place

Mount pump track

The Mount pump track in Arataki Park features easy, intermediate and advanced loops for all ages and abilities for bikes, scooters and skateboards.

The Mount pump track was completed in September 2020. Thank you to the Mount Pump Track Society and project sponsors for helping to make this project happen.

A community led project

The Mount Pump Track Society first approached council to create the neighbourhood pump track in 2018 and council agreed to allow for and support this facility at Arataki Park.

Council also allocated seed funding as part of the 2019/20 Annual Plan. Following that, the Mount Pump Track Society raised the majority of funds through grants awarded by charitable organisations, primarily TECT: Tauranga & Western BOP Community Funding and Lottery Grants.
