Tauranga City Council invites Registrations of Interest for the construction of the new Resource Recovery Park. The new facilities will include:

• New construction, demolition and general waste sorting facility (Building E).
• New office block incorporating a community education space (Building A).
• New roof cover (Building B) to the recycling area, improved recycling lanes and additional storage sheds
• New staff amenity block (Building C).
• Conversion and refurbishment of building for green waste facility (Building D).
• New commercial weigh bridges and refurbishment of existing kiosk.
• Civil works including earthworks, three waters and surfacing
• Widening of Tip Lane and Truman Lane for site access

TCC intends to shortlist up to 4 suppliers to be invited to respond to an interactive Request for Tender process for the project.

The release date for the RFT is scheduled for February 2023.

The anticipated start date for construction onsite is June 2023.
