Tauranga City Council invites suitably qualified suppliers to submit tenders for this contract for which the works comprise maintenance of traffic signals and electronic sign assets in the Bay of Plenty region.
The objective of this contract is to ensure that all Traffic Signal Installations are regularly serviced, maintained and repaired, and safely and effectively operated at their level of optimum performance.
Tauranga City Council currently administers 62 sets of traffic signals at road intersections and stand-alone pedestrian crossings in the Bay of Plenty Region, along with various ITS/electronic signage assets.
The maintenance activities will encompass the following duties:
- Checking faults to traffic signals and electronic signage as per RAMM dispatches, call centre alerts, stakeholder advice and CCM’s (customer Care Modules)
- Emergency incident response
- 6 Monthly cyclic preventative maintenance
- Reactive maintenance duties
- Asset data management and asset data verification
- Maintenance and testing of UPS units
- KPI reporting
- Testing and inspection of electrical systems
The Upgrade components will consist of:
- Upgrade of traffic signals, poles, controllers and associated hardware
- Upgrade works to civil components of traffic signals
- Updating the traffic signal asset inventory in RAMM
