Responding to recent and planned private and public sector investment, part of the $8M City Centre Streetscape, Amenity and Waterfront Fund is programmed to be utilised for upgrading key city centre streets and spaces. The purpose is to create spaces that people want to spend more time in and feel safe to use.
Tauranga City Council invites proposals this contract for which the scope of work involves the preparation of a concept design of the identified streets and open spaces including implementation cost estimation.
Following acceptance of the concept design by Council, detailed amenity and engineering design will be undertaken. Council anticipates a staged implementation of the design to coordinate works with private developers, Council led works and to minimise disruption impacts. Council will negotiate with the successful supplier the scope and fee for detailed design.
