Tauranga City Council has approved funding for the implementation of their citywide Tauranga Cycle Plan. Council is looking to engage consultancies that will partner with them and support their commitment to deliver new first class cycleways to attract "Interested but less confident" potential users, and achieve a significant increase in the number of people on bikes across the city.
To attract these potential "new" users, cycle facilities will have to be both "Safe" and "Perceived to be Safe" by a large range of users.
Council's cycle programme is complex and ambitious with a variety of stakeholders and local communities to bring along on this exciting journey.
In developing options for a procurement model, we wish to undertake market engagement with various potential suppliers to discuss ideas on how we best deliver this significant programme of work.
You are invited to participate in a workshop to discuss ideas. There are no boundaries. We would value your innovative thoughts and enthusiastic contributions.
