From time to time council may introduce temporary restrictions in an area which will either prohibit dogs from that area or require owners to keep their dogs on leash in that area.
The reasons for these temporary restrictions will vary, but include protection for vulnerable wildlife during a nesting period or while raising young, or may be while a specific event occurs at a park or reserve.
Here are our current temporary restrictions which are in place:
