This is to notify you that a wastewater overflow has occurred at Santa Monica Drive, Papamoa on 24 June 2025
The overflow was a result of fats. This will have impacted Wairākei Stormwater Reserve.
Council staff and contractors have cleared the blockage, cleaned and disinfected the area, and put up warning signs around the stormwater pond.
Water quality sampling will be undertaken as soon as the weather permits.
