Due to the stormy weather that is expected to hit the Bay of Plenty, the two open days for the UoW Marine Research & Educational Facility that were scheduled to take place tomorrow will be postponed.

New date, timing and locations are as follows:

• Friday, 23 February, 10am to 1pm at Red Square
• Friday, 23 February, 3pm to 5pm at the Edgewater Fan

The open days are a great chance for community members to learn more about the proposed marine facility and to have their say.

Tauranga City Council is seeking feedback on its proposal to long-term lease land at Northern Sulphur Point to enable the University of Waikato to establish a purpose-built Marine Research and Educational Facility.
