Whakamōhiotanga
This week we have made progress across the entire site and have an update for you on each of the sections.
This work is now complete and the road has returned to the previous layout, with left turn only onto Durham Street.
The closures remain in place at the intersection; we are nearing completion of upgrading underground services and will soon begin new pavement work.
Durham Street remains one way, as the pavement construction will progress down the street. We will be creating new temporary angle parks down towards Elizabeth Street to make the best use of the space while the one-way system needs to be in place.
Powerco will be coming in to do night works outside of the Fulton Hogan site office on Durham Street. This work is to move a power line to avoid conflict with the new wastewater system. This work may involve short power outages, it is the responsibility of Powerco to notify customers affected and we have been assured that this has been done.
Next week we will begin work in Durham Lane. We will be clearing and excavating the area highlighted on the map below. Arrangements are being made with all owners of the private car parks in the area.
