This Thursday, 25 October from 7pm – 12pm, the corner of Spring Street and Durham Street will be closed due to urgent road upgrade requirements.

Works underway on the intersection at Durham Street and Spring Street require a one-off night closure to be able to lower a cable deeper across the full width of Durham Street. This work is unplanned, because of the recent discovery of very soft soil in the area.

Traffic management will be in place along the street, with traffic controllers located at different points to instruct motorists.

The team will endeavour to finish the works as quickly as possible and will re-open the road as soon as the works are complete. We apologise for any inconvenience, if you have any questions or concerns please contact Keith Campbell or phone  07 577 7000.

The map below outlines the red area where the road will be closed and the green arrows identify where traffic access will be open. Durham Street will return back to the usual traffic management flow following the works, with one-way access from Spring Street to Elizabeth Street.
