Whakamōhiotanga
Council is proposing to remove the begging and rough sleeping provisions in the street use bylaw adopted last year, because it considers a bylaw is not the most appropriate way of addressing the perceived problem in relation to begging and rough sleeping in Tauranga. What do you think? Consultation closes at 5pm on Friday 20 December – have your say today at www.tauranga.govt.nz/streetuse An overview of the proposed changes to the bylaw and why Council proposes to make them, the draft bylaw and an online submission form are available at the same link. Paper copies are available at the customer service centre at 91 Willow Street and in libraries. Hearing of submissions will take place on Wednesday 29 January 2020, and deliberations are scheduled for Thursday 20 February 2020.
