Funding opportunities for community organisations

Due to COVID-19 there are growing levels of unemployment and economic hardship within our communities. To help community groups continue to support people in need, the following Government grants and funding opportunities are available.

Support for foodbanks, food rescue and other community food services

Community Food Transition Grants: urgent funding during the transition from Civil Defence to MSD to contribute towards costs from June – August 2020. Applications open from 26 May 2020 and close on 12 June 2020.

Community Food Response Funding: funding to contribute towards your costs for up to two years, while participating in building a Food Secure Community. Applications open from 29 May 2020 and close on 5 July 2020.

Food Secure Communities Grants: funding to develop and implement a plan for a Food Secure Community. Applications open from 29 May 2020 and close on 2 August 2020.

Women And Girls Community Funding: funding for organisations that provide services or support to women and girls, and are experiencing an increased demand for services or a shortfall of funding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications open round one: 31 May - 15 June 2020. Applications open round two (if funds permit): 6 - 20 July 2020

Regenerating Arts, Culture And Heritage Funding: There are a range of funding opportunities available to support those in the arts, culture and heritage sector.
