The removal of dead and hazardous trees along the walkway between Orakei Place and Welcome Bay Road will take place this week on Thursday, 21 and Friday, 22 July.

The work involves the removal of a large fallen poplar tree, dead trees, and some remaining poplar trees that have been deemed hazardous to private property and the stream.

The area will be closed off while the works take place to ensure public safety. Access between Orion Drive and Welcome Bay Road in the same vicinity will still be open.

If works are not completed during this time, they will likely continue the following week on Wednesday, 27 and Thursday, 28 July.
