Downer is the contractor to the Tauranga City Council for the maintenance of the Water, Stormwater and Wastewater systems.
From Sunday 16 July 2023, for a period of 2 weeks, Downer will be undertaking the Annual Water Mains Scouring Program (flushing) in the following areas:
Oropi, Greerton, Merivale, Gate Pa, the Avenues through the CBD to Bureta and all side Roads.
This scouring/flushing may cause a temporary discolouration of your water. If you find any discolouration at your home/business, please run an outside tap for 5-10 minutes until the water clears.
