Construction work on Cameron Road is in full swing, and it is exciting to see the beginnings of some of the new facilities emerge that will be in place once construction is completed.

Upgrading works are steadily advancing along Cameron Road, despite challenges posed by unseasonably wet weather, with significant progress made since work began in September 2021.

As construction of Cameron Road’s new two-way cycleway progresses, drivers are being reminded they must give way to people riding on the cycleway.

Cameron Road, near Tenth Avenue, will be reduced to one-way at night from Sunday 30 July for essential stormwater upgrades as part of the Building our future – Cameron Road, Te Papa project.

Cameron Road between Eleventh Avenue and Thirteenth Avenue will be one-way only for five nights from Sunday 27 August to resurface the southbound lanes (heading away from the city).
