Making changes to alcohol licences

You can apply to the District Licensing Committee at any time to change or cancel any condition on your on, off, or club licence.

For example, you may want to change the days and hours of trading. When you make changes you go through the normal alcohol licensing process, so you need to obtain ensure compliance with the RMA, City Plan and Local Alcohol Policy. You also need to:

  • obtain a sale and supply of alcohol certificate
  • publicly notify the change - twice
  • go through the objections process, if required
  • get approval from the District Licensing Committee.

For more information on the licensing process, see the application process.

Note: where there are final clearances required in relation to the Building Code or Food Act, the licence will not be issued until these have been provided to the Agency.
