Road closures

Roads need to be closed for various reasons, but mainly for maintenance, construction work, and events. You can sign up for the Weekly Bulletin for up to date road closure information.

Event road closures 2024-2025

Tauranga has plenty of amazing events on offer. To ensure these events are delivered efficiently and safely for participants, the public, residents and businesses, the following road closures will be in place:

Event road closures

Rowesdale Drive - partial one-way road closure

We are reconstructing part of the road and the Hollister Lane roundabout to extend the life of the road and make it safer and easier to move around Ohauiti.

Our crews will be on-site on weekdays between 6am and 6pm. Work is expected to be completed by mid-February, weather dependent.

For eastbound traffic heading towards Ohauiti Road, there will be a one-way closure from Honeysuckle Lane to Ohauiti Road. This closure will remain in place 24/7, until this essential work is completed. 

Eastbound traffic can access Ohauiti Road via Poike Road.

Bus routes will continue as normal, and emergency services and residents will always have access.
