The purpose of this Advance Notice is to inform suppliers of the upcoming release of a Request for Tender (RFT) for a new construction services panel.
This will be a single-stage process.
Indicative timeframes:
- RFT anticipated to be released in February 2023 with a 6-week tender period (on TenderLink tenderlink.com/Tauranga)
- Interviews will be held with selected tenderers prior to contract award
- Panel awards anticipated during May / June 2023 with first packages of work available from July 2023 onwards
Expected scope of Construction Services Panel
The construction services panel is anticipated to be of a duration of 5 years and involve work predominately in the areas of linear assets and civil and structural components Expected annual value is as follows:

Procurement Process
The proposed procurement process will be a single stage process using financial and non-financial components evaluated in line with the Tauranga City Council Procurement Policy.
This panel is one of the ways in which Tauranga City Council intends to meet the nine objectives of Delivering Better Outcomes for the local community. It is intended that the panel will have a mechanism for allocation of work packages based on performance, more details will be provided in the RFT.

Probity:
Tauranga City Council has engaged the services of a probity advisor for the duration of this process.
