As a result of substantial developments in the area, there is a need for an attenuation pond to service the stormwater catchments in the area. Pond 25 on Kennedy Rd is the conversion of a wetland into a forebay and attenuation pond.
The proposed works is located on the Eastern end of Kennedy Rd and includes: Stream diversion works, forebay and attenuation earthworks, pipeline and outlet construction, landscaping, and access road construction.
The project also includes the cartage and placement of excess fill to a nominated site on Joyce Rd. The works are in an area with a high water table, which requires a supplier with relevant experience.
At this stage it is envisaged that the project will have 2x separable portion; (SP1 includes forebay formation, pipework and preparation of the fill site on Joyce Rd and SP2 includes formation of the attenuation pond and cartage of excess fill to the Joyce Rd Site).
Tauranga City Council intend to release the RFT for the works in late Aug/early Sept 2018 on our portal on www.tenderlink.com/tauranga
