Tauranga City Council wishes to notify prospective suppliers of the above contract for specialist geotechnical field testing services which will form part of an up-coming city wide liquefaction study.
The project activities will include (but are not restricted to):
- Traffic management
- Site visits to determine rig access
- Service clearance of proposed test sites prior to breaking ground
- Concrete cutting and hydrovac at proposed test sites
- Completion of a range of specialist geotechnical tests, including Cone Penetrometer Tests (CPT) and rotary boreholes. We anticipate that approximately 80 CPTs and 12 boreholes may be required.
- Installation of piezometers for groundwater monitoring.
- Reinstatement of the test sites
- Provision of all testing data for analysis
Anticipated Dates
- Tender release: end of March 2019
- Commence investigation: 1 August 2019
- Testing complete: 15 September 2019
The tenderer must commit to meeting the contracted start date. To this effect, Council is willing to offer a bond (paid on award of the tender) to secure a booking.
