Active Reserves Master Plan
As a growing city, we’re dedicated to improving the capacity and quality of the city-wide network of venues for sports, recreation, and events to benefit community wellbeing.
We’ve embarked upon a programme of work which considers multiple opportunities for community sport, recreation, events and high-performance training across Tauranga’s network of active reserves. As part of the process, we’ve developed the Active Reserves Master Plan to help guide short, medium and long-term investments by Council. Read more about the Active Reserves Master Plan below.

Fees for regular athletics club use¹
As at 1 July 2024
Please note - the track fee hire is separate to the Athletics Club equipment hire fee. Clubs will be charged a seasonal rate based on whether the club members are junior (0-14 years) or senior (15+ years). This is based on the per person charge, multiplied by the number of club members. The junior clubs pay a lower fee as they have less impact on the athletics track.
