Kerbside glass collection will stop from Monday 7 March until further notice, due to Covid-19 staff shortages.
 
Until full collection services can resume, glass can either be stored, disposed of in a red-lid rubbish bin, or taken to the Te Maunga or Western Bay recycling centres.
 
Here’s a reminder of what can go in a red-lid bin right now: 

• Food scraps
• Glass
• General waste

With fewer drivers available, Tauranga City Council is prioritising essential rubbish collection and working hard to meet the most urgent needs of the community.
