Tauranga City Council advises residents that emergency works will take place this afternoon on one of the notable Pohutukawa trees adjacent to Turret Road.

Council’s concerns are that with recent bad weather and the forecast of more to come, the chances of a tree limb failure have increased.

Emergency traffic control and arborists are on site now. We expect there will be delays while this work takes place and ask the community to delay unnecessary travel in the area.
