Pursuant to s54(1)(d) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Tauranga City Council proposes to grant a lease of land on Coronation Park located at 10 Salisbury Avenue, Mount Maunganui, to Own Firm Limited, trading as Spongedrop, for an initial term of three (3) years to 21 October 2028, plus at council’s discretion, an additional one (1) further renewal term of two (2) years with a final expiry date to 21 October 2030. The proposed lease requires the land to be used for the purposes of a boutique cakery including small café offering cakes, coffee, tea and associated retail activities.
The lease area is comprised of approximately 147m2 and is contained in Record of Title SA44C/847, being described as Part Section 2 on Deposited Plan 57326. The Reserve is owned and administered by the Council as a Recreation Reserve and is subject to the Reserves Act 1977.
