The 15th Avenue project was completed last month. The project has successfully freed up the afternoon peak traffic flows as intended.
We’re in the last phase of work on the 15th Avenue project. Depending on the weather, we’re planning to be finished by early August.
This week we have been busy finalising plans to switch on the traffic lights at Burrows Street intersection.
We have been finalising plans to make sure we can continue with the safe delivery of our construction projects when we move to Alert Level 3. . We will be starting work again on the 15th Avenue project on Wednesday, 29 April.
As we head toward COVID-19 alert level 4, all of the council’s active construction sites are being shut down and contractors are making the sites safe.
We're planning to permanently close the Turret Road slip lane exit this week, on Thursday 26th of March 2020.
Thank you for your patience over the last few weeks while we have been working on the new traffic light system at Burrows Street.
