Major works to start on Cameron Road/Eleventh Avenue intersection

A stormwater upgrade, and work to upgrade the traffic signals at the Cameron Road and Eleventh Avenue intersection will begin on the western side of Cameron Road near McDonald's and the Z service station on Sunday 23 July.

Work at this intersection is expected to take four months (weather dependent) as the work moves around all four corners of the intersection. The majority of work will be during the day with some work taking place at night when required.

There will be lane closures along Cameron Road and around the corners of the intersection and into Eleventh Avenue while works are underway. Noise and vibration are associated with these works.

Drivers are advised to avoid the intersection if possible, as major traffic delays can be expected.

Local residents and businesses will still have vehicle access. Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained at all times.
Tauranga City Council and the Cameron Road Joint Venture thank you for your patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work.
