Welcome to 2019! Work has started again this past week with our first concrete pour for the year planned for today.
Work planned in the coming weeks include:
Durham Street
- Continuing the installation of the watermain on the eastern side of the road at night
- Installing more rain gardens outside University of Waikato building
- Continuing to install stormwater and water connections to property boundaries
- Preparing carriageway subbase metal
- Boxing and pouring concrete on more sections of the roadway
- Preparing footpath area near Davista building for concrete surfacing
Spring Street and Durham Street Intersection
- Boxing and pouring concrete nib kerb that defines the road and footpath areas
- Preparing footpath area in readiness for cobblestone paving
- Work to start on the tie ins between the existing and new layouts
Durham Lane:
- Connecting the recently laid water main to the City network
- Completing the aggregate layer of the pavement on the southern section of the lane
- Install the concrete surface drainage channel
- Install street light bases
