Durham Street
The rain gardens by the parking building will be installed on Sunday night which means Durham Street will be closed from 7pm on 5 May. Access to the carpark building will be maintained under traffic control.
The wastewater manhole near Beaurepaires has been relocated and work is underway to complete the last two concrete panels on the west side of the roadway. This will be completed by the end of next week.
Kerbing on the west side of Durham Street has been completed.
Spring Street and Durham Street Intersections
Minor finishing work on the concrete located on the west side of the Spring Street intersection will be completed this weekend. Final roadmarking will take place early next week.
The plan is to open Spring Street, from Cameron Road, to Durham Street with the right turn option only at the intersection this coming week. This will improve access to the carpark building. Please note that there will still be no through traffic on Spring Street (i.e. you will only be able to travel from Cameron Road to Durham Street and turn right). Please see image below for your reference.

The intersection will remain closed to Spring Street traffic until the pedestrian area around the parking building corner is complete. There is some delay in this work with the unexpected underground services that need to be shifted.

Durham Lane
The access Lane from University of Waikato to Cameron Road has been asphalted and is now open to traffic. Durham Lane from Durham Street to the Bongard Centre will be closed next week to allow for the upgrading of wastewater and water pipes. This work should take about a week.
