Tauranga City Council Elected Members have voted in principle to purchase the 21 Bella Vista Homes properties, which were part of the failed subdivision at The Lakes in Tauranga.

Tauranga City Council has released in full the independent report by former High Court Judge Hon Paul Heath QC that looks into Council’s role in the Bella Vista Homes development on Lakes Boulevard and Aneta Way.

A request to conduct invasive testing on properties in the Bella Vista subdivision is not related to property settlement agreements, says Tauranga City Council Chief Executive Garry Poole. 

Today, via lawyers, Tauranga City Council made an offer to purchase the properties at Lakes Boulevard/Aneta Way.

On Thursday, 2 August 2018, Tauranga City Council filed charges in the District Court against parties involved in the Bella Vista development in the Lakes.
