Tauranga City Council advises that Thursday, 2 January 2020 is likely to be a busy day for the city’s roads with approximately 30,000 people expected to attend the Bay Dreams music festival.

In 2019 a sinkhole appeared on Oropi Road near the Oropi Stream Bridge. This was the result of erosion from the stream.

Road closures will be in place on Wednesday, 5 February, as 8,000 concert-goers are expected to attend Cold Chisel playing at Wharepai Domain that evening.

A section of Elizabeth Street outside the Tauranga Farmers Development will close to traffic this Thursday, 27 February, for about two weeks.
