Wastewater overflow notifications

Wastewater overflows pose a serious risk to public health and our environment and need to be fixed immediately.

Most wastewater blockages (and subsequent overflows) occur when people flush things down their toilets or sinks that they shouldn’t like wet wipes, fats and cooking oils. Wastewater overflows can also occur when stormwater enters the wrong pipes during heavy rain due to faulty gully traps or damaged infrastructure.

If a wastewater overflow has occurred, please notify us.

Armadillo is a Tauranga City Council approved contractor and will be isolating the water supply in your area between the hours shown above. All Armadillo staff carry identification and can produce this if requested. Staff may need to enter your property to flush water from an outside tap to prevent dirty water entering your property.

Important: If a member of your household depends on water for critical medical support, please ensure you make alternative arrangements for the times stated above.

The shutdown times stated above are expected to be accurate. However sometimes circumstances beyond our control can cause the shutdown to extend beyond the times stated. We apologise should this occur.

If the water is cloudy, dirty, or discoloured after the shutdown, please run your outside tap for ten minutes to clear the line.

If this does not resolve the issue, please do not hesitate to contact any of the phone numbers below:
