Tauranga City Plan

The Tauranga City Plan provides the rules for how people can build or develop the land they own in our city. 

The City Plan was made operative on 9 September 2013 and is reviewed in full approximately every ten years. You can access the city plan online (ePlan) below.

We monitor the city plan on an ongoing basis as well. We update it through plan changes to respond to emerging issues and opportunities, and make sure it’s fit for purpose and enabling good development in Tauranga. Register your interest below if you’d like to be kept updated of any proposed plan changes or other updates.
