The Cameron Road Joint Venture (CRJV) continues to replace the sewer pipes running from Harington Street to Elizabeth Street as part of stage one of the city centre wastewater upgrades. The area of Cameron Road between Wharf Street and Harington Street is closed to south-bound traffic and Wharf Street is left out only.
Works will be underway at the intersection of Cameron Road and Elizabeth Street to carry out the wastewater upgrades from Friday 8 October at 6pm until Monday 11 October at 6am (weather dependent). Temporary traffic management, including detours, will be in place during this time: Full closure of intersection:
Partial opening of Intersection - for the north and south bound traffic lanes along Cameron Road, there will be no through traffic on Elizabeth Street crossing over Cameron Road:
Work continues on the eastern side of Cameron Road between Sixth and Ninth Avenues, and Twelfth and Thirteenth Avenues. Vehicle traffic will be reduced to one lane on the eastern side in the areas where work is taking place. Temporary traffic management will be in place, however access for all residents, businesses and retail will be maintained. It is expected this work will take up to three months to complete.
