The Mount Hub

Mount hub

Come and learn what the council is up to in the Mount.

The Mount Hub at 9 Prince Avenue, Mount Maunganui is a great spot to learn about local projects like the destination skate park, Marine Parade coastal path, Maunganui Road safety improvements, and the Mount to Arataki spatial plan.

Our displays are regularly updated and are a rich source of information, with input from our partners like Bay of Plenty Regional Council and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

We encourage everyone to stop by and chat to our friendly staff, share your feedback, and find out where to go for more information.

Connecting community and council

Public input and feedback are important steps to understanding the needs, wants, and dreams of our community, and the user-friendly space can be reconfigured and adapted for multiple uses. We will hold events like workshops, community engagement sessions and other meetings.

Assistance with enquiries and payments

Our staff can help with all council enquiries like taking service requests, processing rates rebates, and taking payments by card (but we cannot process cash transactions or refunds).

Mount Hub opening hours

The Mount Hub is open weekdays between 9:30am and 4:00pm with extra hours added for special events.

The Mount Hub will be closed between 9:30am – 1:00pm on 7 September 2023, 30 November 2023, 7 March 2024, and 2 May 2024.

Mount to Arataki Spatial Plan

Earlier this year we asked our community what they love about the Mount to Arataki area, and what matters most as we plan for the future. This is so we can protect the things we love, enhance the things we already have, and make room for the things we want. Now we want to know what you think of the proposed areas of focus and projects, and which are most important to you before our draft plan goes to council for approval.

From 12 September to 5 October, you can visit The Mount Hub and provide your input on the Mount to Arataki Spatial Plan. The project team will also be on-site on Tuesdays and Thursdays (including an evening session between 4:00 – 6:00pm on Thursday 5 October) to talk about the project, answer your questions, and record your feedback.
