Pursuant to clause 5 of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991, Tauranga City Council is notifying Proposed Private Plan Change 40 – Mount Maunganui Golf Club Incorporated to the Operative Tauranga City Plan to rezone approximately 4378m2 of land of the existing Passive Open Space Zone, to Medium Density Residential Zone, over the land located at 11 Fairway Avenue.

Anyone, or their organisation, may make a submission on the proposed private plan change by sending a written submission no later than 5.00pm on 3 August 2026 either via the online submission form on Council’s website, via email to PlanChange40@tauranga.govt.nz or via post addressed to:

Submissions should be in the format of Form 5 of the Resource Management (Forms, Fees and Procedure) Regulations 2003. Submission forms are available from the Council website, Customer Service Centre, and libraries.
Following the closing date for submissions, public notification will be given of the availability to view a summary of all submissions and where both the summary and full submissions can be inspected. Further submissions in support of, or in opposition to any submission received will then be able to be made.
The Council will then arrange the hearing of all submissions received and will publicly notify the dates, times and places of the hearing.
