Tauranga City Council will be removing the fire-damaged and ancillary buildings from 34 Kiteroa Street, Greerton, starting Monday 29 June 2026.

Demolition is scheduled to start work on Monday 29 June 2026, weather permitting. 

The work will be carried out under a comprehensive health and safety plan approved by WorkSafe over approximately three – five days. There will be security at the property until completion of the works. Our priority is to ensure the safety of neighbours, contractors, and the wider public at all times.

Council purchased this property and took ownership on 22 June 2026. Once the site is cleared, the bare land will be sold.
