Overflow Notification

This is to notify you that a wastewater overflow has occurred at Courtney Road, Parkvale, on 22 July 2026.

The overflow was a result of fat. This will have impacted the Waimapu Estuary.

Current Actions

Council staff and contractors have cleared the blockage, and put up warning signs at public access points along the Waimapu Estuary.

Water quality sampling will be undertaken as soon as weather permits.
