Overflow Notification

This is to notify you that a wastewater overflow has occurred at Freyberg Street, Otumoetai, Tauranga on 4 September 2026.
The overflow was a result of gravel and road metal.  This will have impacted Tauranga Harbour.

Current Actions

Council staff and contractors have cleared the blockage and put up warning signs a public access points, including the Otumoetai Golf Course, Kulim Park and Harbour Drive.
Water quality sampling will be undertaken as soon as weather permits.
