Overflow Notification

This is to notify you that a wastewater overflow has occurred at Maleme Street, Greerton on 17 September 2026.
The overflow was a result of roots.  This will have impacted Waiorohi Stream and the Waimapu Estuary.

Current Actions

Council staff and contractors have cleared the blockage disinfected the area surrounding the manhole and put up warning signs.
Water quality sampling will be undertaken as soon as weather permits.
