If you’ve got grass clippings, leaves or garden cuttings, but don’t have the space to compost these at home, you can add garden waste to your kerbside collections if you haven’t already.

Kerbside collections continue throughout the summer holiday period, but if your kerbside bins are usually collected on a Wednesday, Thursday or a Friday, your collection day will be one day later than usual for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays 

Together, we’re sending less to landfill and more to farms and orchards. Over 9 million kgs of our food scraps have been collected from our kerbsides and composted so far.

There are no changes to kerbside collections these summer holidays as we’ll be collecting your bins on your normal collection day over the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year public holidays.
